Attorney Bernie Layne Helping the Community - Covenant House

On June 24, 2013, my law partner, Bernie Layne, and I had the pleasure of presenting Covenant House with $11,500 in donations raised from trial lawyers around the State.

Covenant House is a community-based organization, physically located in Charleston, West Virginia, with the following mission:

Covenant House is dedicated to social justice through our efforts to eradicate hunger, homelessness, and poverty. Our diverse faith, cultural, and belief traditions unite us in reaching out to those in need, irrespective of race, class, gender, religion, creed, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, disability, or national origin.

I was overwhelmed by the number of people who were being helped while we were at Covenant House today. Looking around, I recognized several individuals whom I had successfully represented before the Social Security Administration. It is nice to see the overlap between our legal practice and community based organizations.

I speak for the entire firm when I say "we look forward to partnering with Covenant House in the future. We too strive for social justice through our legal practice and personal involvement in the community."

At Mani Ellis & Layne, PLLC, it's not just business...it's personal.
